Acrisure Re Publishes 2021 Pre-Season Hurricane Report

Each year, Acrisure Re, the reinsurance division of Acrisure, looks at key persistent variables such as sea surface temperature and intra-seasonal variability to provide an outlook for the next hurricane season.

 

The 2020 hurricane season was unprecedented in many ways. The extremely active 2020 Atlantic hurricane season got off to a fast start with a record nine named storms from May through July. Many other records were set including a record-breaking 30 named storms and 12 landfalling storms in the continental United States.
